Dear KAUST community, 

As we head into the weekend, I want to share a brief update in light of the current regional situation. 

As the President communicated yesterday, KAUST remains an extremely safe and secure place to live, work, and study. Campus operations are continuing as usual. 

We are monitoring the situation closely and will continue to do so over the weekend. We remain in regular contact with national authorities. We will keep you informed of any developments through the official communications highlighted previously. 

I hope this weekend brings you some well-earned rest. Whether you are spending time with family on campus, beginning your Eid and school holiday preparations, or connecting with loved ones around the world, please take the opportunity to reassure people in your life, as I reassure you, that life at KAUST is safe.
